T A K A S H I.. D O S C H E R . is a writer/director from Atlanta, GA. In 2010,
he became the youngest director to sell a film to ESPN when he sold his
feature doc, A Fighting Chance, at the age of 22. In a 2-week sneak
preview, the film launched as the #1 Film and #1 Doc on Hulu.
He has written and directed short films, advertisements, and music
videos that have been featured on the front page of Vimeo, USA Today, MTV
Hive, and Virgin Atlantic. In 2012, Takashi directed the filming of a historic
expedition up Mt. Kilimanjaro that captured the first summit of the mountain by a
quad-amputee. The feat won an ESPY in 2012. He has won additional awards for his
editing on the feature, Snow on Tha Bluff, a gritty crime drama produced by Academy
Award winner, Damon Russel, and Michael K. Williams of HBO’s The Wire. Most
recently, Takashi was named on the Tracking Board’s 2015 HIT List and the 2015
Young & Hungry List for his spec script, The Life Inside.
Takashi’s narrative work often depicts the conflict between science
and the human condition - a reflection of his educational background in Physics and English.
He recently finished directing for a soon-to-be-released television show and is currently
in post-production on his first feature, a grounded fantasy drama titled
Moon Shine Still. He also has several additional projects in development:
a sci-fi thriller called The Preserve with Intrepid Pictures, a docu-series starring NFL
Hall-Of-Famer, Jim Brown called Warrior’s Code, and an original sci-fi television series with
called Carbon Copies.
